ABOUT ME I am a nutritional therapist and an eating disorders and obesity practitioner. I am fully insured and an accredited member of BANT (The British Association of Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy). I am also accredited by The GP's Professional Standards Authority. I am a member of various other professional organizations such as The British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT), The Nutrition Society (NS), The National Obesity Forum (NOF) and The British Psychological Society (BPS). I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
After a legal career in the City, I studied Nutritional Therapy at the University of Westminster. I have a passionate commitment to help people improve their health through diet and lifestyle changes. I deal with a large variety of health issues but specialize in eating disorders and obesity, weight loss and maintenance, gastrointestinal conditions, and diabetes. I use a holistic approach which also deals with the associated problems of these disorders such as food intolerances, stress, anxiety, depression and alcohol dependence. However, many of my clients see me just for general dietary and lifestyle advice.
I work within a Functional Medicine prospectus which uses a person-centred and holistic approach to provide individualized nutritional and lifestyle programmes. Many health issues are caused by a depletion of the body’s vital nutrients or by poor lifestyle choices. By getting the right support and correct professional advice, you can start to take more control of your health issues and work towards achieving your optimum level of health. All recommendations are tailored to meet personal goals and needs. They are always formed in a collaborative way with clients so that they are realistic and manageable. I also give clients various psychological tools and education handouts which offer further support during their dietary and lifestyle treatment programmes.
