My training with The National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED) has given me the latest thinking from a range of psychologies and healing approaches such as old and new skills from traditional and new wave therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Appetite Awareness Training (AAT) and Transactional Analysis (TA). I will be able to help motivate you and provide you with effective take-home skills for recovery and sustained change. CBT is recommended by The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as being particularly effective for the treatment of eating disorders. More recently CBT-E has been especially adapted for eating disorders and is considered to be at the cutting edge of development in CBT treatment.
I will accurately assess your disorder and help you understand the effect of dietary chaos on your physiology and mood. We will make sense of the problem by looking at the underlying environmental, psychological, and cognitive issues which may have precipitated the disorder. You will be provided with a personalized treatment plan which includes simple and effective nutritional guidelines.
